The fourth episode of the theohacks podcast that I do with Zach Lind has been posted: Rhino and the Madman’s Reading Review.

  • ‘Twas a good podcast.

I am reading The Shaping Of Things To Come Right Now along with a similar book The Present Future by Reggie McNeal. Both excellent books. Both books that you have to put down after awhile and try to figure out a way to get out of actually doing what they suggest, because you know it will collide with everything you have been doing in church work and will move you out of your comfort zone and you will have to change your life/ministry drastically.

I agree with you about Wilber’s book. I looked at it at Barnes and Noble today (yes, I felt weird wandering around the New Age section) and although the subject matter was very interesting, I hated the way it was written. It reminded me all over again of the book “Five Views Of The Emergent Movement” or something like that with some Calvinist guy, Andy Crouch, Erwin McManus, Brian McLaren, and some lady that used the same type of writing style with the questions and answers. Annoying.
