coffee shop etiquette: olfactory gripes

old spiceIt’s been quite some time since I shared my opinions on good coffee shop etiquette. This morning gave me a reason to gripe.

I don’t use them, but I am not opposed to cologne, perfume, or other olfactory enhancements. If that is something that you want to use to represent your persona, by all means, give yourself a splash. But…

If I am 3 feet away from where they are heating those heavenly garlic-encrusted chonga bagels, and you are ten feet away from me and your Old Spice is winning the war in my nostrils, maybe it’s time to dilute a bit, don’t you think?

  • Duly noted, I will try and limit the amount I use. Although maybe it wasn’t me. I am an aqua velva user myself.

  • I am offended. I’m not nearly as strong as Patchouli or Brute. Brute is just awful.
