With my hands in several different projects around the web, I decided to create a simple bio/landing page a few years ago located at JohnChandler.org. (JohnChandler.com was long ago picked up by a Ford Dealership bearing my name in Amarillo.) I link to this site from twitter and often in blog comments. It serves as a gateway to whatever section of my double life someone might be interested in.

I originally based it on a simple template that someone else built. A few weeks ago, I redesigned, or perhaps de-designed, the site, stripping it down to a minimal site. There is a trend toward minimalism in design right now. I’m tired of the term, but not the results. Minimal design requires a site to focus more on good content than glam and glitter. And that’s better for all of us.

I really really like it. I’ve been thinking about creating a similar landing page for a while now, along very similar lines to this one. Good plan!
